Abstract
Our aim in this paper is to explore ways of modeling the distribution of pause durations in conversation using oscillator models (Wilson, Wilson 2006), and to consider how these models might be integrated into our Coupled Oscillator Model of speech timing (COM (OâDell, Lennes, Werner, Nieminen 2007; OâDell, Lennes, Nieminen 2008; OâDell, Nieminen 2009)).
