Abstract
<div class="htmlview paragraph">A three-person preprototype Thermoelectric Integrated Membrane Evaporation Subsystem (TIMES I) has undergone additional wastewater processing testing in order to evaluate a redesigned evaporator assembly. The new evaporator design incorporates a number of concepts that have been selected for use in the next generation advanced preprototype subsystem design. A discussion of the operating performance of the TIMES I preprototype with the new evaporator installed is presented in this paper, as well as a more detailed description of the design changes currently being implemented in the improved water recovery subsystem (TIMES II). Special attention is given in this discussion to the improved maintenance aspects of the advanced preprototype evaporator/condenser assembly. In addition, specific advanced preprototype design information is provided in order to illustrate the end product of previous design studies.</div>
