Abstract
Abstract The acylation of the methyl isoxazolinone (I) with the acyl chlorides (II) produces mixtures of the isomeric O‐acyl isoxazoles (III) and N‐acyl isoxazolinones (IV), which are converted to the corresponding 4‐acyl isoxazoles (V) in the presence of bases.
