Abstract
Osmium(VI) complexes with cyclopentadienyl, indenyl, and hydrotris(3,5-dimethylpyrazolyl)borate ligands result from the reaction between [Os(N)Ph2(py)2][BF4] and sodium cyclopentadienide, potassium indenide, or potassium hydrotris(3,5-dimethylpyrazolyl)borate. The molecular structures of the resulting complexes, CpOs(N)Ph2 (1), InOs(N)Ph2 (2), and Tp*Os(N)Ph2 (3), have been determined by X-ray diffraction analysis. The cyclopentadienyl-type ligand in each complex is distorted due to the strong trans effect of the nitrido group.
