Abstract
We address the problem of detecting a subspace signal when there is uncertainty in the subspace. We develop robust subspace detectors based on extending the signal subspace. We consider two approaches for constructing the extended signal subspace and compare the performance of the resulting detectors. Both types of detectors may also be successfully applied to detecting targets of unknown acceleration in a space-time adaptive processing problem.
