Neurology Bulletin1903Vol. XI(1), pp. 64–98

The anterior commissure was first indicated by Eustach and described by Riolan under the name funiculus transversus. She received the name commissar and anterior from Haller. The idea of the origin and connections of the anterior commissure in the former anatomists was very diverse.
