Abstract
This article examines the history of the Librarians' Association at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill (LAUNC-CH) from its founding in 1972 to the present. It is based on an analysis of information from archival sources of the Association at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill (UNC-Chapel Hill), Annual Reports of the Libraries at UNC-Chapel Hill, journal articles, and personal interviews with former officers of the Association.
